Qatar Airways boosts flights into Madrid, Spain
Commencing November 16th, Qatar Airways will be increasing its operations to Madrid, Spain, with the addition of three extra flights per week. The increase in frequency will bring the total number of flights up from seven to ten per week, resulting in a significant increase in flight options for passengers.
Qatar Airways signs $19bn Boeing 777-9X deal
Boeing and Qatar Airways have finalised an order for 50 777-9Xs, valued at $18.9 billion at current list prices. The 777X order, first announced as a commitment at the 2013 Dubai Airshow, was part of the largest product launch in commercial jetliner history. In addition, the airline announced a commitment for 50 additional 777-9X purchase rights.

Qatar Airways is preparing a strong presence at the 2014 Farnborough Air Show, which opens today. Taking place in southern England, the show will see Qatar Airways fly the A350 aircraft for the first time at a flying display at a European air show.
Qatar Airways reinforces commitment to Japan
Qatar Airways is expanding its connectivity into Japan with the announcement that it will partner with its fellow oneworld alliance member, Japan Airlines, to offer an additional five code share domestic routes. The news follows the launch of Qatar Airways’ new route launch to Tokyo Haneda International Airport last week.
Qatar Airways to display new Airbus A350 at Farnborough
Qatar Airways is preparing to have a strong presence at the 2014 Farnborough Air Show, taking place next week in England, when it will fly the A350 aircraft with Qatar Airways livery for the first time at a flying display in a European Air Show. The A350, for which Qatar Airways is the global launch customer, will make its debut alongside two other major aircraft in the fleet.
Qatar Airways expands services to US
Qatar Airways has commenced daily, non-stop services between the newly unveiled Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Doha and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The new route increases Qatar Airways’ extensive global network to seven gateways within the United States and 144 destinations worldwide.
Qatar Executive celebrates fifth anniversary
Qatar Executive, Qatar Airways’ business jet arm, reached a milestone last month as it celebrated its fifth anniversary. Qatar Airways first announced at the Paris Air Show in France in 2009 the formation of its corporate jet subsidiary, Qatar Executive, as part of the airline’s ongoing robust global growth strategy, and continued commitment to the Middle East business travel community.
Qatar Airways flies in Zagreb, Croatia
Qatar Airways announced earlier the airline will offer non-stop flights from Doha to Zagreb three times weekly from that commencing October 1st 2014. The new direct flights will provide a more convenient alternative to the current daily flights to Zagreb which fly via Budapest before moving onwards to the Croatian capital.
Qatar Airways debuts Miami service
Qatar Airways is offering non-stop service between the Middle East and Miami, Florida, with the launch of its new service to Miami International Airport, marking its sixth US gateway. The launch continues a major expansion by the airline into the United States.

IATA AGM 2014: New Distribution Capability revealed in Doha
The International Air Transport Association has announced three new pilot programs to test the New Distribution Capability schemas. Pilot participants include Aeroflot, Aer Lingus, Qatar Airways, and JR Technologies. NDC is a travel industry-supported program launched by IATA for the development and market adoption of a new, XML-based data transmission standard.
