Qatar Airways takes Airbus A350 to Maldives for first time
Qatar Airways has become the first airline to fly the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 to the Maldives. The airline has upgraded its current double-daily A330 service to an A350, with the first A350 beginning operations today and the second A350 service joining shortly afterwards on November 3rd.
Qatar Airways increases capacity on Shiraz, Iran, route

Qatar places latest $2.2bn order with Boeing
Boeing and Qatar Airways announced an order today for two 747-8 Freighters and four 777-300ERs (Extended Range), valued at $2.16 billion at list prices. The airline also received the first of its 747-8 Freighters at a delivery ceremony attended by Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways chief executive and Boeing Commercial Airplanes president Kevin McAllister.
Qatar Airways boosts flights to Sohar, Oman
Qatar Airways will add four additional weekly flights to Sohar, its newest destination in the Sultanate of Oman, from October 1st. The additional frequency was added in response to increased passenger demand, and will take the number of weekly flights between Doha and the Sultanate of Oman from 52 to 56.
Qatar Airways to launch flights to Cardiff Airport, Wales
Qatar Airways will begin operating daily direct flights from Cardiff Airport, with the inaugural flight due to depart on May 1st, 2018. The new service between the Welsh capital and Doha will be operated on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
