The Astotel Group inks deal with Pegasus Solutions
The Astotel Group has renewed its agreement with Pegasus Solutions for global sales and marketing support of its full portfolio through Pegasus Connect+ Premium. Paris’ number one independent hotel group will continue to offer its 15 three- and four-star hotels in the global distribution systems (GDSs) under the Pegasus Connect+ “UI” chain code, as well as through a thousand Pegasus-connected online channels.

Hoteliers in host markets have seen booking increases of as much as 200% and rates doubling ahead of the US Super Bowl, Winter Olympics and the FIFA World Cup. Pegasus Solutions conducted a comparison of net reservations made in 2014 and 2013 for the same January 20 cut-off for same day-of-week arrivals in each region.
Global leisure rates climb in August
Rates paid for leisure hotel stays grew by +4.2% over 2012 in August, according to Pegasus Solutions, the world’s largest processor of electronic hotel transactions. While leisure booking volumes fell just short of 2012 levels, the corporate market maintained enough productivity to post positive year-to-date gains in both bookings and rates over the prior year.
Global corporate bookings climb in July
Global corporate bookings grew +5.5% over 2012’s level in July, according to Pegasus Solutions. The uptick in business travel was accompanied by substantial leisure demand that paled in comparison to strong gains achieved last year.
