Expedia completes $1.6bn Orbitz acquisition
Expedia has completed its acquisition of Orbitz Worldwide, Inc., including all of its brands and assets, for US$12.00 per share in cash, representing an enterprise value of approximately US$1.6 billion. With the completion of the transaction, Orbitz Worldwide stock is no longer being traded on the New York Stock Exchange.

Expedia has announced it has entered into a definitive agreement under which it will acquire Orbitz Worldwide, including all of Orbitz Worldwide’s brands, for $12.00 per share in cash. The deal represents an enterprise value of approximately $1.6 billion, and a premium of approximately 29 per cent over the volume weighted average share price for the five trading days up to and including February 11th, 2015.

American Airlines back on Orbitz sites
Orbitz Worldwide has reached an agreement with American Airlines to continue to offer American Airlines and US Airways flights on all of its sites. Consumers should see all available flights immediately. All tickets previously purchased on Orbitz Worldwide sites remain valid.
Orbitz partners with Puerto Rico Tourism

New appointment for HotelClub China
Online booking community HotelClub has appointed Dandan Cheng as VP & Managing Director, HotelClub China. In this newly created role she will lead HotelClub’s Chinese brand “HotelClub - 好客邦” (“Hàokèbāng”) in China’s rapidly growing travel sector. Based in Shanghai, China, Cheng will report to Nicolas Chu, President of HotelClub.

Orbitz aquires Travelocity’s affiliate business
Orbitz Worldwide has acquired certain assets and contracts of the Travelocity Partner Network which provides private label travel technology solutions for bank loyalty programs and online commerce sites. The operations of the Travelocity Partner Network will be integrated into the Orbitz Partner Network.

Orbitz signs two key partners in United States
Amadeus and Orbitz Worldwide, a leading global online travel company which uses technology to transform the way consumers around the world plan and purchase travel, have announced the two companies have entered into a new multi-year agreement. At the same time Orbitz has also completed a long term GDS agreement deal with Travelport, a leading distribution services and e-commerce provider for the global travel industry.
