Oman Air celebrates 100% OTP
Oman Air CEO Wayne Pearce has, at an event held on 14th May, thanked staff for achieving 100% on-time departures across the airline’s network.
Oman Air places order for three A330-300s
Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, has placed an order for three A330-300s, growing its A330 family fleet to a total of ten Airbus aircraft. The aircraft will be operated on long haul routes and can comfortably seat close to 300 passengers. “The efficiency, reliability and passenger appeal of our in-service A330’s already make the pillar of Oman Air’s long haul operations,” said Wayne Pearce, chief executive, Oman Air.

Oman Air announces major growth in onboard connectivity take-up
Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, has announced major growth in uptake by passengers of its inflight mobile phone and wi-fi connectivity. Between January 2012 and January 2013, the airline experienced a 130 per cent increase in internet package sales and a 180 percent increase in connectivity revenues. Mobile phone connectivity is charged at roaming rates by individual service providers.
Oman Air links with Ethiopia Airlines for Muscat-Addis Ababa flights
Oman Air has entered into a codeshare partnership with Ethiopian Airlines, the national carrier of Ethiopia on the Muscat and Addis Ababa sectors, which will offer greater choice for customers of the two airlines. This codeshare agreement will cover flights between the Omani capital of Muscat and the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa.
Oman Air continues fleet expansion
Oman Air is further expanding its fleet of Boeing 737-800s with the introduction of two additional aircraft, bringing the airline’s total fleet strength to 30. The expansion follows shortly after the Sultanate of Oman and India signed a memorandum of understanding to meet the increased demand for air services between the two countries.
Oman Air agrees Muscat-Oman code-share with Qatar Airways
Oman Air and Qatar Airways have announced a codeshare agreement, allowing Oman Air customers to book flights from any of the 42 departure points within its network to Doha, the capital of Qatar. The codeshare agreement is effective immediately and customers can now book flights through local outlets.
