Chopra steps down as Oberoi Group president
Oberoi Group president Kapil Chopra has stepped down from the role to focus full time on entrepreneurial activities. The resignation has been accepted by Oberoi Group executive chairman Prithviraj Singh Oberoi.

Oberoi Group plans luxury hotel in Maldives
The Oberoi Group have signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Maldives to build a luxury resort in Maldives. The investment for acquisition and development of the resort will be undertaken by SCDCL, a Bangalore -based real estate development company.
Oberoi Group signs on for two new Doha properties
The Oberoi Group has entered into management contracts for two new luxury properties in Qatar. The first will be a 250 key luxury hotel in the West Bay area of Doha, while the second, 148 key hotel, will be a luxury serviced apartment building located in Lusail, Doha. Planning of both the projects is well under way and construction will commence early next year with completion of both projects in mid-2018.
