The first ibis Styles hotel in the North West has officially opened in Liverpool following a period of soft opening. The 123-bedroom ibis Styles Liverpool Dale St Hotel is located in the heart of Liverpool, just a few minutes’ walk from the sights of the city.
Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London given May opening date
Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts announced Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London will open May 6th 2014. Located on the historic South Bank of the River Thames in the 306-metre-high, glass-clad Shard, the hotel will be the Hong Kong-based luxury hotel group’s third in Europe, following debuts in Paris in 2010 and Istanbul in 2013.
Hilton Worldwide adds 50th hotel to growing Turkey portfolio
Following a raft of recent signings, Hilton Worldwide today announced that it has reached an agreement to operate its 50th hotel in Turkey. The newest property, owned by Ever Kocaeli Turizm Ticaret A.S, will be branded under the Hampton by Hilton brand and plans to open to guests in early 2016.

Outrigger Mauritius Resort and Spa now open
The beachfront Outrigger Mauritius Resort and Spa is now open. The Deluxe 181-room, all sea-view resort opened 30 January and is the first in the Indian Ocean belonging to Outrigger Hotels and Resorts, the 66-year old Hawaii-based hospitality company which now has 45 properties open or under development in eight countries.
New accommodation options for the V&A Waterfront Cape Town
The V&A Waterfront has confirmed its intention to develop a mid-market, internationally-branded hotel in the forthcoming year. According to Cape Town Tourism, the expected tourism growth in the City for 2014 will be between four and five per cent, while the United Nations World Travel Organisation estimated a global year-on year increase of 3.3 per cent per annum until 2030.
