Accor strengthens its UK network
Accor, the world’s leading hotel operator and market leader in Europe, is pleased to announce the signing of the Novotel London Brentford hotel, which will be operated under a lease agreement with Brentford Hotels Limited, a subsidiary of the Pedersen Group. The 202-room hotel is under construction and is due to open early 2015.
Anantara Dubai The Palm opens to guests
Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas is continuing the expansion of its portfolio in the Middle East with the opening of Anantara Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa. This new resort joins the four existing Anantara properties in Abu Dhabi and a further two will be added to the portfolio in the region by early 2014, including the first property in Qatar, which represents a new country of operation.

Due to open in quarter one 2014, the 164-room property will undergo a rapid re-branding from an existing hotel under a franchise agreement with Societe des Cinq Soeurs Pochettino.
Hilton opens Capital Grand Abu Dhabi
Hilton Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Hilton Capital Grand Abu Dhabi following a refurbishment and rebranding programme. The hotel joins the company’s burgeoning UAE portfolio and will add an additional 281 rooms to Hilton Worldwide’s growing 3000 plus UAE room total.
Starwood expands footprint in Turkey
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has announced that it has signed an agreement with Tanriverdi Mensucat Sanayii to open a new-build Sheraton hotel in Samsun, Turkey. Scheduled to debut late 2014, Sheraton Samsun Hotel will mark Starwood’s entry into the emerging city and will be the company’s eleventh hotel in Turkey.
IHG to open Holiday Inn Lima Airport hotel
InterContinental Hotels Group continues to increase the Holiday Inn brand’s footprint in Latin America with the signing of the new-build Holiday Inn Lima Airport hotel. The $24 million hotel will be located adjacent to the city’s Jorge Chavez International Airport, and is being developed by the Pinasco family, who will also manage the hotel under the Operaciones Turisticas Peruanas entity.
Emaar Residences opens at Fairmont Makkah, Saudi Arabia
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has unveiled a new addition to its growing residential collection, Emaar Residences at the Fairmont Makkah, in Saudi Arabia.
