Ryanair announces new Cologne base
Ryanair has announced it will open its fifth German base at Cologne in October 2014. The 68th base in total, Ryanair will operate one aircraft from the city, with five new exciting routes to Dublin, London Stansted, Madrid, Riga and Rome Ciampino.
British Airways provide a lift to skiiers in Europe
Hitting the slopes will be easier than ever this year with the start of new short-haul routes to top ski resorts from Gatwick. During the winter 2014 season, British Airways will fly twice weekly, from December 20th, to Friedrichshafen in Germany and Grenoble in France, using a mix of Airbus A319s and 320s.
Virgin America expands Austin flights to double-daily
Virgin America has announced it will expand its schedule to two daily non-stop roundtrips between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and its home base at San Francisco International Airport, as of July 8th, 2014. The California-based airline first introduced service between the innovation capitals of Austin and San Francisco in May 2013.

LA welcomes Saudi to western United States
Saudia has launched its direct flights to Los Angeles, a major business city in the heart of California, becoming the only airline that operates direct flights from Saudi Arabia to Los Angeles International Airport. Abdul Aziz Al-Hazmi, chief executive and acting director general of Saudia, launched the flight while stressing the airline’s plan to expand its operations worldwide and modernise its domestic and international fleet.
bmi regional codeshare brings Lufthansa back to Bristol
Thanks to a new codeshare agreement with bmi regional, German airline Lufthansa is adding Bristol to its global network from today. The move enables business and leisure travellers from Bristol Airport to connect twice daily to Frankfurt and daily to Munich, providing access to Lufthansa’s worldwide network offering flights to 235 global destinations, and represents a welcome return to the south-west for the airline.
interCaribbean Airways announces new Kingston-Montego Bay-Kingston flights
interCaribbean Airways is pleased to announce the introduction of new scheduled non-stop air service connecting Kingston to Montego Bay, with 16 weekly flights each way. These new flights from Montego Bay to Kingston provide onward flights to Providenciales, Grand Turk, Santo Domingo and San Juan making connections across the wider Caribbean a reality.
Fly-SAX launches new route to Lokichoggio

Aeromexico increases flights between Mexico and Asia
Aeromexico, Mexico’s biggest airline, has announced it will be operating seven weekly flights to and from Asia, promoting Mexico’s bilateral relations with Japan and China. Starting in April, Aeromexico will add its fourth weekly flight to and from Tokyo, while in July it will add its third weekly flight to and from Shanghai, consolidating its position as the only Latin American airline to unite these cities with the capital of Mexico.
