Airbus to provide satellite communications for Armed Forces

Airbus has signed contracts with the Ministries of Defence of Czech Republic and the Netherlands to provide satellite communications for a 15 year period. The Armed Forces of Czech Republic and the Netherlands will utilise 2 and 3 channels respectively of the Airbus UHF (Ultra High Frequency) military communications hosted payload on-board the EUTELSAT 36D telecommunications satellite scheduled for launch in 2024.

Accenture has been selected by the Dutch ministry of internal affairs to design and deliver Automated Border Control Systems at Schiphol airport in Amsterdam. The new systems will reduce the waiting time of travellers passing through one of the world’s busiest airports during peak immigration periods by more efficiently validating passenger identities and documentation.
