The F1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix now less than a month away
The Sepang International Circuit, 50km from Malaysia’s Capital of Kuala Lumpur is once again preparing to welcome over 100,000 spectators for The F1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix from 22 – 24 March 2013. The race is now in its 15th Anniversary and promises to be one of the biggest sporting events in South East Asia in 2013.
Tourism Malaysia joins AITO
Tourism Malaysia has revealed a new affiliate membership of AITO (Association of Independent Tour Operators), to further develop relationships with independent tour operators in the UK and raise awareness of Malaysia’s unique tourism products to AITO tour operator and agent members. Malaysia is the first tourist office to join AITO from the South East Asia region.

Malaysia visitors continue to climb
Malaysia welcomed 11,632,483 tourist arrivals for the first six months of 2012, registering a growth of 2.4% compared to 11,362,862 arrivals for the same period last year, according to the latest figures released by the tourist board. ASEAN region continued to be the largest contributor of tourist arrivals with 73.8% share of the total arrivals.
Malaysia visitor arrivals climb
Malaysia recorded an overall growth of 1.2% in tourist arrivals with 9,438,592 tourists for the first five months of 2012 as compared to 9,323,827 for the same period last year, confirmed by the Tourism Minister, Dato’ Sri Dr. Ng Yen Yen. The Asean region contributed the largest number of tourists to Malaysia with 73.4% of the total arrivals.
