Low-cost air routes fares, which currently represent 68.5% of the number of seats available on flights from and to Spain, are pushing up flight prices for 2024 summer season, based on an analysis by Mabrian, the global travel intelligence company. Although average prices on conventional airlines continue to be higher, the price increase is greater on low-cost airlines: this represents a shift in the global trend detected between 2021 and 2023, when legacy carriers’ fares grew 40% -while low-cost did a 6%, incrementing air tickets prices.

Mabrian, a leading company in tourism intelligence, has shared the results of a new study on the impact of aviation on the carbon footprint and tourism sustainability of European destinations in 2023, during its participation in a virtual session organized by UN Tourism and the European Travel Commission (ETC) on measuring the carbon footprint of the tourism sector.

The Italian company, a part of the Almawave Group, has signed a contractual agreement for the procurement of the 70% of the Spanish company Mabrian Technologies, in a move that will result in the largest data intelligence company specializing in tourism in Europe.

Mabrian announces strategic growth plan as part of evolution to become the number one travel intelligence tool globally. In addition to the Middle East and North America push the company will also expand further into providing services to hotels, airlines and other private sector businesses.
