Fitzgerald takes up hotel manager role at Jumeirah Beach
Jumeirah Beach Hotel has appointed Marianne Fitzgerald as the new hotel manager. Fitzgerald, an Austrian national, has over 20 years’ experience in the hotel and tourism industry, and holds a great deal of knowledge in different areas of the food and beverage and banquet department. She has a strong background in human resource management including recruitment and training.
New sales leadership for Madinat Jumeirah
Madinat Jumeirah, the Arabian Resort of Dubai, has announced the appointment of Andy Nightingale as resort director of sales. Nightingale brings more than 20 years’ experience from the airline and hospitality industries. He has worked with global companies including InterContinental Hotels, Rotana Hotels & Resorts Virgin Atlantic and other European airlines.
Ozal takes up hotel manager role at Jumeirah Emirates Towers
Jumeirah Emirates Towers has appointed Zeki Ozal as the new hotel manager. Ozal, a Turkish national, has over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, speaks six languages and has worked in five countries. He started his career in the Sheraton Hotel Istanbul, where he held various operational roles and gained solid experience in the rooms division.

Jumeirah signs on for $1bn Business Bay development in Dubai
Jumeirah Group has been selected to operate a mixed-use development within a new $1 billion tower in Business Bay by property investment company RP Global. The Jumeirah Business Bay will include a 200-room luxury Jumeirah hotel as well as 350 serviced apartments and 290 luxury residences managed under the Jumeirah brand.
New leadership for Burj al Arab Jumeirah
Jumeirah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hotel company and a member of Dubai Holding, has announced the appointment of Imran Changezi as hotel manager at Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, the world’s most luxurious hotel. At the same time Niamh Keohan will take over as director of marketing and public relations at the property. Changezi, a Pakistani national, brings over 22 years of commercial and operational experience in the hospitality industry, including nearly 15 years in high-end luxury hotels and resorts across various properties in Jumeirah Group.
Madinat Jumeirah to boost MICE offering with new Fort Island
Madinat Jumeirah, will offer the largest hotel event space in the United Arab Emirates when the Fort Island expansion is completed in October 2015. Set over 1,750 square meters, the space has tripled in size and is set to host banquets, parties, exhibitions, product launches, music concerts, weddings, sports events and festivals for up to 1,400 people.

Jumeirah at Emirates Towers has appointed Nadia Beaulieu as the new director of sales and marketing, while Ewart Wardhaugh will take over as head chef. Born in Scotland and part Egyptian, Beaulieu joins Jumeirah from Marriott International, where she was the director of sales and marketing at a number of properties including the London Park Lane Marriott.
Jumeirah to operate luxury hotel in Kuala Lumpur
Jumeirah Group has signed management agreements to operate a 190-room luxury Jumeirah hotel and to brand 273 premium residences in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Jumeirah Kuala Lumpur hotel and Jumeirah Living Kuala Lumpur residences will be set within one of the three towers which make up the landmark mixed-use development that is set to transform the skyline of Kuala Lumpur.
