JetBlue to launch composting program at JFK’s Terminal 5
JetBlue Airways, New York’s Hometown Airline™, today announced a partnership with Air Ventures and Royal Waste Services to compost leftovers from select restaurants in Terminal 5 (T5) at John F. Kennedy International Airport. Air Ventures, the franchisee that owns and operates the Jamba Juice and Dunkin Donuts restaurants in T5 and Royal Waste Services have committed to work with the airline to separate and haul nearly 300 pounds of food waste each day for composting.
JetBlue expands Emirates codeshare deal
JetBlue Airways and Emirates, the Dubai-based carrier, have announced intent to expand their current partnership to include bilateral codesharing, pending FAA and DOT regulatory approval. Under the expanded agreement, JetBlue will place its “B6” airline code on all flights currently operated by Emirates between the United States and Dubai International Airport, as well as between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Milan, Italy.

JetBlue Airways (JBL) and Emirates revealed their intent to expand their current partnership to include bilateral codesharing, pending FAA and DOT regulatory approval and subject to receipt of foreign government operating authority. Under the expanded agreement, JetBlue will place its “B6” airline code on all flights currently operated by Emirates between the U.S. and Dubai International Airport, as well as between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Milan, Italy.

JetBlue Airways and Qatar Airways have announced a one-way codeshare agreement to connect the carriers’ networks via New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport, subject to receipt of government approval. The two airlines have been interline partners since 2011, enabling customers to enjoy the convenience of a single combined ticket for Qatar and JetBlue-operated flights, plus other benefits including one-stop check-in and baggage transfer.
