Japan Airlines to refit 777-300ERs
Japan Airlines has announced plans to install brand-new seats in every cabin class on its international fleet of 777-300ER aircraft. The newly-designed seats will debut on the daily service between Tokyo (Narita) and London (Heathrow) from January 2013, and will progressively be expanded to New York (John F Kennedy) and mainly on other long-haul Europe and North America routes in JAL’s network.
Japan Airlines adds Vienna flights to network
Japan Airlines had announced the launch of a new codeshare programme with NIKI Luftfahrt - a subsidiary of fellow oneworld alliance member airberlin. Starting from July 1st, 2012, JAL’s flight indicator will be placed on NIKI’s six-weekly service connecting Frankfurt and Vienna International Airport.
JAL switches on internet connection service
Japan Airlines has confirmed it will begin offering JAL SKY Wi-Fi this summer. Japan Airlines has announced it will take delivery of its first Boeing 787-8 on March 25th, with the aircraft (JA822J) to be flown from Seattle, Everett to Tokyo, Narita by JAL pilots the following day. Also today, Boeing confirmed the 787 Dreamliner will make its Chilean debut as the centrepiece at the FIDAE 2012 International Air & Space Fair in Santiago on March 27th.
