Seychelles and Mauritius Ministers responsible for tourism meet at ITB
The Hon. Michael Sik Yuen, Minister of Tourism & Leisure of Mauritius, and Alain St.Ange, the newly-appointed Minister of Tourism and Culture of the Seychelles, met briefly in Berlin where they were both leading respective delegations to the 2012 ITB Tourism Trade Fair.
Lessons from ITB as world tourism bounces back
Cape Town Tourism just returned from Berlin where they represented the destination at ITB (March 7-11, 2012), the biggest travel trade show and travel insights convention in the world. This year saw 10,644 exhibitors from 187 countries exhibiting their destinations and trade offers. This was the 46th annual ITB Berlin and it attracted more than 110,000 visitors over the five days of the event.

First ITB party big success

Increased numbers of trade visitors, exhibitors reporting more contracts signed, and an upsurge in attendance at the ITB Berlin Convention: these were among the outstanding features of the 46th ITB Berlin. 113,006 trade visitors (39,7% of them from abroad) came to obtain information about all sectors of the international travel industry from the 10,644 exhibitors from 187 countries.
Successful ITB 2012 comes to a close in Berlin
An increase in the number of trade visitors, exhibitors reporting more contracts signed, and an upsurge in attendance were all some of the key themes at ITB Berlin this year. A total of 113,006 trade visitors came to obtain information about all sectors of the international travel industry from the 10,644 exhibitors from 187 countries during the 46th staging of the event in Berlin.
