Indaba 2010 draws to close in South Africa
The Indaba travel show is drawing to a close in South Africa, with event organisers handing out awards to leading participants. While attendance has been at record levels ahead of the FIFA World Cup in July, South Africa Tourism chief Thandiwe January-McLean urged delegates to look beyond the tournament to the future of the country.

World Cup legacy to boost South Africa
Addressing a conference at Indaba earlier today Monhla Hlahla, CEO of the Airports Company, assured South Africans every cent of investment in infrastructure ahead of the 2010 World Cup would equip the economy to grow into the future. Ms Hlahla was joined by president Jacob Zuma in welcoming the event.

Jo’burg Rocks launches at Indaba
The Johannesburg Tourism Company has been celebrating ahead of this summer’s FIFA World Cup, with the launch of a new advertising campaign – Jo’burg Rocks – at Indaba. Designed to maximise the City of Gold’s exposure to the millions of guests expected in South Africa, the campaign runs under the slogan: “From Full Time to Party Time”.

South Africa Tourism has this morning launched the new Inanda Trail at the annual Indaba travel trade show in Durban. The location is perhaps best known as the home of Mahatma Gandhi during the early 20th century, as well as being the birthplace of ANC founder John Dube.
Football focused Indaba kicks off in Durban
A football themed Indaba travel show has begun in Durban, as South Africa prepares to bring the FIFA World Cup to Africa for the first time. The event was opened by president Jacob Zuma, with upward of 12,000 visitors now expected over the next four days.

Durban preps for Indaba 2010
Indaba 2010 kicks of over the weekend, with over 2,000 exhibitors expected in Durban for the event. Considered the primary trade event in Africa, Indaba is set to attract over 10,000 delegates during its four day run, with host Durban missing no opportunities when its comes to promoting its offering.
