The Indaba travel show is drawing to a close in South Africa, with event organisers handing out awards to leading participants. While attendance has been at record levels ahead of the FIFA World Cup in July, South Africa Tourism chief Thandiwe January-McLean urged delegates to look beyond the tournament to the future of the country.
Addressing a conference at Indaba earlier today Monhla Hlahla, CEO of the Airports Company, assured South Africans every cent of investment in infrastructure ahead of the 2010 World Cup would equip the economy to grow into the future. Ms Hlahla was joined by president Jacob Zuma in welcoming the event.
