Third Holiday Inn Express planned for Adelaide
InterContinental Hotels Group and international investment company Pro Invest Group have signed a franchise agreement for a 245-room Holiday Inn Express hotel in Adelaide’s Central Business District.
First Holiday Inn Resort set to open in Fiji
InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a management agreement with Fiji-based property development company Avoser to open the first Holiday Inn Resort in Fiji. The 173-room resort will open its doors to guests in 2018.

InterContinental Hotels Group has confirmed the opening of the Holiday Inn Express Cartagena Bocagrande hotel in Cartagena, Colombia. The new-build, 200-room hotel is the second IHG property in the city of Cartagena and the 12th property in Colombia. The new Holiday Inn Express hotel is conveniently located in Bocagrande, the most modern area of Cartagena, which is home to numerous leisure attractions such as hotels, shops, restaurants, nightclubs and art galleries.

InterContinental Hotels Group is signing of a new-build Holiday Inn Express hotel in Belem, Brazil. Slated to open mid-2016, the 128-room property will be IHG’s third property in the city, joining the Crowne Plaza Belem hotel and Holiday Inn Express Belem Ananindeua hotel.
Holiday Inn Express brand expands in Mexico’s central Bajio region
InterContinental Hotels Group is opening the group’s first hotel in Celaya, Mexico. The 120-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites Celaya hotel, located in the state of Guanajuato, was developed following a US$10 million investment by ownership.
Holiday Inn Express Marília hotel opens in Brazil
InterContinental Hotels Group is opening of the Holiday Inn Express Marília hotel in São Paulo State, Brazil. The new-build, 102-room hotel is among the first internationally-branded properties in the city of Marília. The hotel is centrally situated near Marília’s industrial district, airport, and less than a mile away from the city’s main shopping center.
Dominvs Group unveils £100m UK hotel construction programme
Dominvs Group and contractor McAleer & Rushe have signed the first in a series of phased contracts, worth in excess of £100 million, to build out a development programme of hotels, across the UK. The first legal agreement signed by Dominvs was a £26 million contract with McAleer & Rushe to design and build two hotels in Aberdeen close to the airport.

InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the opening of the Holiday Inn Express hotel in Yopal, Colombia. Located approximately 200 miles from Bogota in the north-eastern region of Colombia, the new-build, 89-room hotel is situated in downtown Yopal, the capital city of the Department of Casanare. Well-situation to meet the needs of travellers to the area, the Holiday Inn Express Yopal is located near four major international oil refineries and processing plants: Halliburton, Perenco, Equion and Ecopetrol.
IHG signs for Crowne Plaza in Medellin, Colombia
InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a new-build, 199-room Crowne Plaza hotel in Medellin, Colombia. The Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts brand is one of the fastest growing hotel brands in the world, with nearly 400 hotels open across more than 60 countries. The hotel will be located in Medellin’s upscale El Poblado neighbourhood, occupying one of two towers in the Palmanova luxury, mixed-use development and connected to the Palma Real Multiplaza.
InterContinental Hotels Group expands Holiday Inn portfolio in Germany
InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the signing of two Holiday Inn hotels under its eighth multiple development agreement in Germany. The two hotels - Holiday Inn Dresden - City South and Holiday Inn Villingen-Schwenningen are the first to be signed with new owner partner FFF Group. The MDA will see five IHG branded hotels developed in total.
InterContinental takes Holiday Inn Express brand into Russia
InterContinental Hotels Group has confirmed it will take the Holiday Inn Express brand into Russia, the CIS and Georgia. In cooperation with Regional Hotel Chain, Russia’s rapidly growing hotel property developer, IHG is pleased to introduce Holiday Inn Express Voronezh – Kirova which marks the debut of the brand in the region and will open its doors in just a few weeks’ time.
