Etihad Airways-sponsored Manchester City have claimed the Premier League title after a dramatic final day of the season. Manchester City took the title after beating Queens Park Rangers 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium in the most dramatic fashion.
Etihad Airways launches Ethiopia flights
Etihad Airways will add the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, to its rapidly growing network in November 2012. The airline will also start flying to the Indian city of Ahmedabad in the same month. The two new cities will expand the airline’s reach to 86 passenger and cargo destinations around the world.
Etihad appoints new GM for Oman
UAE carrier Etihad Airways has appointed Mahfood Al Harthy as its new General Manager for Oman. Mahfood joins Etihad Airways from Gulf Air where he held a number of senior sales positions in Bahrain, Indonesia, the South Pacific, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Etihad Airways confirms 2.9% stake in Aer Lingus
UAE carrier Etihad Airways confirmed today it had acquired a 2.987 per cent stake in Aer Lingus. The news comes just hours after the carrier picked up four awards at the World Travel Awards Middle East ceremony that took place in Dubai last night.

Etihad recruits 400 in Oman
Etihad Airways has launched a recruitment drive in Oman to hire 400 new Omani employees by the end of 2012. More than 3,000 applications have already been received for various positions throughout the airline and the drive continues to stir considerable response in the Sultanate.
Etihad commences flights between Abu Dhabi and Basra
