Enterprise Holdings is battling allegations in the United States that its policy on recalled vehicles is putting customer safety at risk. American law states car dealers are banned from selling a vehicle subject to a safety recall, with consumer groups seeking an extension of the legislation to include car rental companies.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car has confirmed six locations around the world which will benefit from its 50 Million Tree Pledge in 2010. With a theme of ensuring clean water supplies, the car rental giant has identified four sites in American, one in Canada and one in the north of Scotland.
