Great food and Gratitude - Thanksgiving in the skies with Emirates
To celebrate the season of gratitude, Emirates will be offering Thanksgiving food, drinks and entertainment on flights to and from Dubai and USA, between the 23-30 of November. Traditional festive fare will also be served in the lounges of Dubai, Boston, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has opened its Emirates World store in Nairobi, Kenya, underscoring its commitment to deliver an elevated customer experience, alongside world-class products and services to the market. This opening introduces the airline’s refreshed retail store concept to Africa for the first time, with more stores planned across the market in the coming months. Centrally located in the ultra-modern Cube, Riverside Drive, the Emirates World store offers customers expert travel advice, either from dedicated consultants or through self-service smart technologies, and immersive displays to bring the airline’s signature product closer to travellers from Kenya.
Emirates to showcase its iconic Airbus A380 at the Bahrain International Airshow
Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, will be participating in the 7th edition of the Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) 2024, set to take place from 13 to 15 November at the Sakhir Airbase in Manama. The airline will display its retrofitted four-class Airbus A380, featuring its new livery and latest cabin interiors. This will give visitors a glimpse of Emirates’ latest onboard experience, which includes spacious cabins, its iconic Onboard Lounge, Shower Spa, refreshed cabins including Premium Economy and a host of other signature products.
Emirates launches limited-edition signature Pantone gold range of collectables
Emirates and Danish object developer Copenhagen Design have unveiled an exclusive collection of everyday items inspired by the signature gold hue of Emirates’ iconic fleet branding and logo calligraphy. The distinctive Emirates x Pantone by Copenhagen Design collection features a range of thoughtfully designed items including: keychains made of durable nylon with a whimsical loop design; an easy-to-stow folding umbrella; a cotton tote bag; hard-cover lined notebook with a built in bookmark and ruler; and a handmade mug. These collectable items are wrapped in Emirates’ instantly recognisable gold tones, complete with Pantone’s signature colour chip.
Emirates ramps up operations in Africa to serve growing demand
Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has further bolstered its presence across Africa, with the introduction of additional flights to Entebbe, Uganda; Addis Abba in Ethiopia; and Johannesburg, South Africa. Since the inaugural flight into Africa with Cairo as its first destination in 1986, Emirates has progressively grown its presence on the continent and now serves 20 passenger and cargo gateways, boosting Africa’s connectivity and air transport market development.
Emirates makes its much-awaited touchdown to Lagos, Nigeria
Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has resumed passenger services to Lagos, Nigeria, with a daily service. The official delegation onboard was led by Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Gulf, Middle East and Central Asia; David Broz, Senior Vice President of Aeropolitical and Airline Industry Affairs and Sami Aqil Abdullah, Senior Vice President Emirates Airport Services Outstation and Business Support. The official delegation from Nigeria onboard the flight included His Excellency, Festus Keyamo, Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development of Nigeria; His Excellency, Zayyan Ibrahim, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in Dubai and the Northern Emirates and Adewale Babtunde Awolesi, Head of Chancery, Consulate General of Nigeria.
Riyadh welcomes first refurbished Emirates Boeing 777
Riyadh has become Emirates’ first GCC destination to welcome the refurbished Emirates Boeing 777, offering passengers the all-new Business Class cabin and highly acclaimed Premium Economy seats. The newly refurbished aircraft will operate on the EK 819/820 daily service which departs Dubai at 0710hrs, with a scheduled arrival in Riyadh for 0805hrs. The return flight departs from the Kingdom’s capital at 0940hrs and reaches Dubai at 1235hrs.

Emirates’ Unaccompanied Minors Service prepares for busy period
Emirates is currently operating one of the busiest time periods for its Unaccompanied Minors Service, as many children return to Dubai from summers spent abroad to start the new school year. In the coming week alone, Emirates will welcome more than 900 children, who are flying alone using the acclaimed family-friendly service. Over the past 5 years, more than 120,000 children have availed of Emirates’ Unaccompanied Minors and Young Passenger services.
