Emirates has unveiled its highly-anticipated premium lounge in Paris Charles de Gaulle airport. The airline’s exclusive 925 square meter lounge opened its doors earlier this week to welcome First and Business Class customers, as well as Emirates Skywards members.

Emirates, the renowned airline, has launched its eagerly anticipated services to Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, marking its fourth destination in South America and extending its reach to 19 points across the Americas. The inaugural flight, EK213 from Miami, was greeted with traditional Colombian dance at El Dorado International Airport, where a delegation of VIPs including ambassadors and aviation officials gathered to commemorate the occasion.

Emirates has integrated with the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) Turbulence Aware Platform, becoming the first airline to incorporate this within Lufthansa Systems’ Lido mPilot mobile navigation solution. This collaboration equips pilots with real-time, accurate turbulence information, enhancing safety, operational efficiency, and passenger comfort.

Emirates will resume services to Nigeria from 1 October 2024, operating a daily service between Lagos and Dubai, and offering customers more choice and connectivity from Nigeria’s largest city to, and through, Dubai.

Emirates has announced it will resume flight operations to Edinburgh starting from 4 November 2024. The highly anticipated return to the Scottish capital will complement the airline’s current A380 daily flight to Glasgow and offer customers 14 weekly flights to/from the country. The Dubai to Edinburgh route will be served utilising the Emirates A350-900 aircraft in a three-class configuration, with 32 lie-flat seats in Business Class, 21 seats in Premium Economy and 259 seats in Economy Class.

Following fruitful discussions with Senior Executives of Emirates Airline, Minister of Tourism, Hon Edmund Bartlett says plans are underway to include Jamaica as one of the hubs for the airline in the Caribbean.
