easyJet and Lufthansa circle stricken Alitalia
German flag-carrier Lufthansa has made an offer to buy parts of stricken Italian carrier Alitalia. The aviation giant is joined by easyJet of the UK, which has also put forward its own proposals.

easyJet has announced additional partners for its Worldwide by easyJet product, which launched this month. Stand-alone tickets on behalf of four new partner airlines will be on sale by the end of the year.

Visits to its careers page at easyJet.com increased to over 28,500 across both episodes during the two hours in which they were broadcast compared to typical user figures of 7,000 visits for a similar two hour period.
easyJet to recruit 1,200 cabin crew as expansion continues
Already on the lookout for a new chief executive, easyJet has revealed it is to recruit more than 1,200 new cabin crew. The staff will be recruited to permanent and fixed term cabin crew positions as the airline continues its growth.
easyJet sees return to growth in seat revenue in third quarter
Luton-based easyJet has revealed total revenue per seat rose 2.2 per cent for the three months ended June 30th, when stripping out exchange-rate fluctuations. The low-cost carrier had projected a low single-digit per-seat revenue decline in the period after the key performance metric fell 9.7 per cent in the first six months.

easyJet chief executive Carolyn McCall will leave the low-cost carrier to join the board of ITV as chief executive. McCall has led easyJet for seven years.

Low-cost carrier easyJet is planning to establish a new company in Austria as it seeks to protect its business from the impact of Brexit. As the UK prepares to leave the European Union, the Luton-based carrier said it would establish a new airline, EasyJet Europe, based in Vienna.
easyJet to fly from Southampton for first time this autumn
easyJet has announced it is to start flying from a new UK airport with a new route from Southampton to Geneva. It will be the first time the airline has ever operated from the South Coast airport and aims to provide passengers from across the region with additional options for winter ski holidays or connecting through the Swiss hub.

Airbus has delivered easyJet’s first Leap-1A powered A320neo. The plane is also the airline’s 300th A320 Family aircraft delivery, with the handover made at a ceremony in Toulouse earlier.

Europcar and easyJet have announced a two year extension to their existing partnership which has been in place for 13 years.
