The new tourism season is an exciting one with a number of world class and internationally renowned hotel brands coming up in Dubai. During 2014 the emirate experienced a 10.6 per cent visitor increase from the 11 million guests in 2013. By building more hotels that suit all kind of tourists, Dubai is on track to meet their target of 20 million visitors by the year 2020.

The appeal of Dubai as a leading family destination will be highlighted at World Travel Market 2014 (WTM) taking place this week in London, UK. A delegation of more than 100 partners from the Emirate’s tourism industry and led by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM),will showcase the breadth of Dubai’s offering across hotels, attractions and events to demonstrate why commitments from both government and the private sector to continually enhance the tourism experience has led to Dubai being recommended as a must-experiencedestination.

“It is an extremely dizzy 555 metres from the floor at this brand new observation deck, which has just opened in the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa,” says Phil Blizzard in Dubai. “In fact I actually prefer to use the rather more impressive figure of 1,821 feet! Either way, it is certainly a long way down to the ground, way below at Downtown Dubai.”
