Anantara Palm Resort brings Thai long-tail boat to Dubai

Dubai Tourism welcomes meeting planners to Emirate
One hundred influential meeting planners and business events journalists from countries across Europe were in Dubai this week as part of Dubai Tourism’s efforts to enhance the city’s global status as a premier destination for international business events. The familiarisation trip was organised by Dubai Business Events – the Official Convention Bureau, a division of Dubai Tourism, as part of its ongoing strategy to promote the city as a ‘must-experience’ destination that can host conferences, meetings as well as corporate and incentive travel events of any scale or scope.

Dubai Airports have released its year-end traffic report, which confirms that Dubai International has secured the position as the number one airport for international passenger numbers. Lat year’s passenger numbers totalled 70,475,636, up 6.1 per cent from the 66,431,533 recorded in 2013. This followed robust passenger traffic growth of 7.5 per cent in December with 6,498,573 passengers passing through the facility compared to 6,047,126 recorded in the corresponding month last year.

Dubai Airports maintains upward trajectory
Dubai Airports maintained its growth trajectory in the second half of 2014 with passenger traffic at Dubai International rising 4.3 per cent in November, according to the latest traffic report issued by operator Dubai Airports. Passenger traffic in November 2014 totalled 5,565,509, up 4.3 per cent from the 5,337,544 passengers recorded in the same month in 2013.

Dubai cruise season in full swing as weather cools
