Dubai International passes latest milestone
Passenger traffic at Dubai International crossed the 4.5 million mark for the fourth consecutive month, according to the April traffic report issued by Dubai Airports. Dubai International is the fourth busiest hub for international passengers and freight in the world.

Annual traffic at Dubai airports to reach 98m
Annual aircraft movements in Dubai are expected to increase to 560,000 by 2020, when over 98 million passengers and over four million tonnes of air freight will pass through the emirate’s airports, a research study revealed. The total aircraft movements, including local and foreign airlines, general aviation, private operators and freighters, in the UAE will surge to 620,000 in 2012 and 663,000 by 2013, according to the study on the GCC airports performance and future growth trends and projections.
Concourse 3 testing programme underway
With construction of the purpose-built A380 facility - Concourse 3 - on track for completion at the end of 2012, Dubai Airports has launched an intensive operational readiness programme to prepare the new facility for its opening in the first quarter of 2013.

Dubai International’s monthly passenger traffic has surpassed the 4.5 million mark for the second month in a row, according to a report by Dubai Airports. The airport, which currently has an annual capacity of 60 million passengers, will step this up to 75 million passengers by next year with the opening of Concourse 3, an A380 facility dedicated for use by Emirates Airline.

Dubai Airports is inviting advertising companies to submit expressions of interest to be awarded the official concessionaire for the upcoming Concourse 3 at Dubai International. This follows Dubai Airports’ invitation to food and beverage companies and service operators in September earlier this year.
Dubai International Airport passenger numbers surge
Economic uncertainty and flagging consumer confidence in Europe and the United States did little to curtail the continued growth in passenger numbers at Dubai International as traffic surged 7.3 per cent to 4.3 million passengers in October, according to the latest traffic statistics released today by Dubai Airports. October passenger numbers rose to 4,307,817, up 7.3 per cent compared to 4,013,127 recorded during the same month in 2010.
