Carnival hosts steel cutting for Costa Toscana in Finland
The first steel was cut earlier at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland for the Costa Toscana. The ship is the second of two new sister ships ordered by Costa Cruises, the Italian brand of Carnival Corporation.

The Costa Group has announced that starting in April 2017 the Costa neoRomantica will be based in Asia year-round. She will be the fifth Costa ship deployed regularly in Asia and operated by the Costa Asia brand, offering cruises marketed for local Guests.
Remkes takes up sales leadership role with Costa Group
Ralph Remkes has joined Costa Group in the position of general manager Northern Europe, reporting to Massimo Brancaleoni, senior vice president of worldwide sales. In this position Remkes leads the recently created Northern Europe region with a coordination centre at the Costa offices located in Amsterdam.
Costa Group signs for two new ships with Fincantieri
The Costa Group has signed an agreement with Fincantieri to build two new ships for the Costa Asia brand. The ships, each weighing 135,500 gross tons and a passenger capacity of 4,200 guests, will be manufactured in Italy. They will be specifically designed for the Chinese market, joining the fleet in 2019 and 2020.
Pepper joins the crew at Costa Group
The Costa Group signed an exclusive agreement with the French company Aldebaran, a subsidiary of the SoftBank Group, for the use of “Pepper” robots. Pepper is the world’s first robot that reads main human emotions. He is ideally suited to help and delight guests on board of cruise ships.
