Carnival Vista set for European tour in early 2016
There are spectacular views on the horizon as Carnival Cruise Line today announced the details of its most innovative ship ever, Carnival Vista, debuting in spring 2016. Mark Tamis, Carnival’s senior vice president of guest operations, said: “Carnival Vista celebrates the connection to the oceans on which we sail and gives our guests amazing seascapes around every corner and more ways to enjoy every moment of sun and fun during their cruise vacation.”
Carnival Cruise Line launches new on-board app to passengers
Carnival Cruise Line has launched a new free mobile app that provides holidaymakers aboard Carnival Breeze with a variety of useful information to maximise the fun on their next Carnival cruise. The app includes an innovative ‘chat’ feature that allows guests to exchange messages with their travelling companions using their mobile devices throughout the voyage for a low flat fee of $5 for the entire cruise.

Dropping the pilot: Cahill steps down at Carnival Cruise Lines
Gerry Cahill, president and chief executive of Carnival Cruise Lines, has announced that he is retiring, effective November 30th, after 20 years of service. Cahill, 63, has been chief executive of Carnival Corporation’s largest cruise brand since 2007, growing the cruise line to 24 ships – the largest in the company’s fleet—during his tenure.
New leadership for Carnival UK as Dingle takes new role
Carnival Corporation & plc has announced that David Dingle has been appointed chairman of Carnival UK. At the same time, David Noyes, currently executive vice president operations, has been promoted to the chief executive role, with operating responsibility for the UK-based brands P&O Cruises and Cunard Line.

Carnival brings Sprit-class ships to West Coast
Carnival Cruise Lines has made two exciting enhancements to its West Coast cruise operations, deploying two Spirit-class ships featuring a variety of Fun Ship 2.0 innovations as well as a huge number of balcony staterooms. The new deployments include Carnival Miracle introducing year-round seven-day Mexican Riviera departures from Long Beach, beginning in October 2014, and Carnival Legend operating the line’s Alaska program from Seattle in May 2015.

First steel cut on new 135,000-ton Carnival Vista
Construction on the 135,000-ton, Carnival Vista is officially under way. Earlier this week at the Finantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, the first steel was cut on Carnival Cruise Lines’ newest “fun ship”, which is slated to enter service in spring 2016.
Carnival Cruise Lines reports record sales in January
Carnival Cruise Lines has set a one-month reservations record, taking net bookings for more than 565,000 guests in January 2014. The record number of reservations was 17 per cent higher than the same one-month period a year ago. Additionally, traffic to the cruise line’s website also reached an all-time high with 13 million visits during the one-month period.
