Halifax Convention Centre offers boost to Canada MICE market
An official opening ceremony has taken place at Canada’s new $170m Halifax Convention Centre. The new development, which is located in the city’s downtown, features more than 120,000 square feet of new flexible events space.
Argentina removes reciprocity rate for Canadian visitors

Peggy’s Cove lighthouse completes overhaul in Nova Scotia
The world famous lighthouse at Peggy’s Cove in the Canadian Province of Nova Scotia, is coming to the end of a weeklong makeover. The volunteer project involved a crew of five and saw the historic structure given its first fresh coat of paint since 2012.
Air Canada Rouge to offer London-Vancouver route this summer
Air Canada Rouge has launched its new seasonal non-stop service from London Gatwick to Vancouver. Air Canada Rouge is Air Canada’s leisure airline and will operate three services a week to Air Canada’s Vancouver hub, Vancouver International Airport, until October.
Wow Air to link Canada to Tel Aviv, Israel
Wow Air will connect Tel Aviv with Montreal and Toronto, offering four flights each week starting September 12th this year. The new service are now available for booking.
Hong Kong Airlines to launch Vancouver flight this summer
Hong Kong Airlines will operate a daily direct flight between Hong Kong and Vancouver from June 30th this year. The route will be operated by Airbus A330 aircraft. Canada is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2017 with events in place throughout the calendar.
Aeromexico launches new service to Calgary
Aeromexico will launch a new service from Mexico City to Calgary, the largest city in the Canadian province of Alberta, on June 1st. With this new flight, Calgary becomes the fourth destination Aeromexico serves in Canada, and its 19th destination in North America.

Air Transat launches new services to Montreal
Air Transat has launched Scotland’s newest route, with a service from Glasgow Airport to Montreal Pierre Trudeau Airport. The new weekly flight, which runs until October, connects the province of Quebec to Scotland for the first time. Montreal is Canada’s second largest city with a population of just over 3.5 million people.
