British Airways launches new app to iPad users
iPad users are about to get their own specially designed version of British Airways’ travel app. Available to download from the Apple App Store, the iPad app includes exclusive features, such as a new 3D globe to discover British Airways’ destinations and prices and a way for customers to create their own viewing plan for their flight’s movies, TV shows and music.
British Airways to return to Tehran this summer
British Airways customers will be able to take off to Tehran this summer when the airline resumes direct flights to the Iranian capital on July 14th. The route will launch as a six-per-week service before moving to daily flights from winter 2016, giving customers even more choice and flexibility between London and the Middle East.

British Airways is getting set to toast the first serving of its new champagne on short-haul flights from February 1st. Champagne de Castelnau Reserve Brut NV is the new champagne of choice for customers flying in the airline’s Club Europe cabin. The Reims-based champagne house, which was established in 1916, was chosen as the top tipple for short-haul travellers after a blind taste test, with quarter bottles of ‘Castelnau Brut NV’ winging their way on board.

UK airlines bringing passengers home for Christmas
British Airways is preparing for Christmas 2015 with more than 450 of its pilots expecting to fly 35,000 customers across the world on December 25th. At the same time, easyJet has predicted this Friday to be the busiest Christmas getaway day in the airline’s history – with more than 204,000 passengers set to fly on over 1,300 flights across the network.
British Airways to launch Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on Shanghai route
British Airways has announced that its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, complete with a new First cabin, will start flying to Shanghai from summer 2016. The airline also announced an additional three flights a week between Heathrow and Shanghai from February 20th, 2016. The new flights have been conveniently timed to fly overnight so offers a well-timed service for business travellers wanting to arrive in back in London in time for meetings.
British Airways embraces Apple Watch technology
The use of the British Airways Apple Watch app has quadrupled in just four months, and in response the airline is introducing new scanners to make them easier, and faster to use. Customers will be able to slide their wrists under the new ‘Scan and Go’ devices to scan their boarding pass, print their own bag tags and speed through the airport.
British Airways to sponsor moving observation tower in Brighton
The world’s tallest moving observation tower, currently being built on Brighton seafront, was today named British Airways i360. The airline has signed a five-year deal, which includes full naming rights, with the developers of the Brighton beach attraction which has been conceived and designed by Marks Barfield Architects.
