Boeing has offered new projections which suggest that China will need 5,260 new commercial airplanes - valued at $670 billion - over the next 20 years. China is forecast to be the second largest market for new commercial airplanes.

Boeing delivers first Aeroloft fitted Business Jet 747-8
Boeing has completed the delivery of the first Aeroloft installed on a Boeing Business Jet 747-8. The Aeroloft, designed and built by Greenpoint Technologies of Kirkland, Washington, provides 393 square feet of additional cabin space bringing the VIP-configured 747-8 to a total 5,179 square feet of cabin space.
Boeing open energy conservation technology center
Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China (COMAC) and Boeing today opened the Boeing-COMAC Aviation Energy Conservation and Emissions Reductions Technology Center, a collaborative effort to support commercial aviation industry growth. The two companies also announced that the Boeing-COMAC Technology Center’s first research project will explore opportunities to refine waste cooking oil, often described in China as “gutter oil,” into sustainable aviation biofuel.

Boeing has announced Xiamen Airlines has agreed to purchase 40 Boeing Next-Generation 737-800s. The airline plans to use the airplanes for more international routes to meet growing passenger traffic in Asia-Pacific and China.
Aeromexico announces deal for 100 new Boeing airplanes
Boeing has announced a commitment by Aeromexico to purchase up to 100 single- and twin-aisle airplanes - a combination of 737 MAXs and 787 Dreamliners - in an agreement that will fuel the airline’s expansion. The commitment by Mexico’s largest airline includes a mix of 90 737 MAX 8s and 9s, as well as ten 787 Dreamliners.
Boeing reports increase in profits
The Boeing Company has reported second-quarter net income rose to $1 billion, or $1.27 per share, on revenue of $20 billion. Earnings per share rose two per cent, reflecting continued strong core performance across the company’s businesses, which more than offset higher pension expense.
United places $14.7bn order with Boeing
Boeing has announced an order by United Continental and its wholly owned subsidiary, United Air Lines, for 150 737 airplanes, including 100 of the new 737 MAX 9. United, the largest airline in the world by traffic, is the latest carrier to choose the newest member of the 737 family, which today eclipsed 10,000 orders overall.

Boeing has forecast a $2.4 trillion market for commercial aviation services as this large industry sector continues to grow over the next 20 years. At the Farnborough Air Show, Lou Mancini, senior vice president, commercial aviation services, Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said the market for services is expected to grow at an annual rate of four percent in the next two decades, with growing opportunities to help aviation customers succeed in a highly competitive marketplace.
