bmi regional is partnering with Virgin Trains to add a train travel booking facility to its website, making it easier for customers to travel beyond Birmingham International. The news comes as the carrier reveals plans to establish a new base at Birmingham with services to Graz, Gothenburg and Nuremberg.

Following on from the success of its existing seven routes out of Bristol Airport, bmi regional has made some exciting changes to its Milan schedule – increasing the route to a total of five weekly departures. The new schedule adds a flight from Bristol every Wednesday evening, returning on a Thursday morning, to the existing rotations on Mondays and Fridays.

bmi regional has added seven new routes to its network thanks to an agreement extending the carrier’s codeshare partnership with Brussels Airlines. Routes from the Great Britain, Northern Ireland and France will go on sale via bmi regional’s website and call centre from today.

Commencing on Friday April 15th, Munich will be served 12 times per week by bmi regional from Southampton Airport. For leisure visitors, Munich enjoys year round appeal ranging from its famous Oktoberfest, the stunning English Garden and of course the spectacular Christmas markets.

bmi regional is launching three new routes to Paris, Düsseldorf and Nantes, bringing the number of routes served by bmi regional from Bristol to eight, alongside Aberdeen, Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt and Milan. Robert Sinclair, chief executive at Bristol Airport, said: “These new flights will strengthen links to key markets in France and Germany for business and leisure passengers in the south-west.

bmi regional is increasing its capacity across its network by 16% in summer 2015 due to increased demand for its UK and European services. The increases on key routes will provide an additional 10,000 seats per month from 29 March 2015.
