Avis Car Rental has announced the addition of the Ghibli, Maserati’s newest creation, to its United States rental fleet, now available at select Avis locations. Avis Budget Group is expanding its presence on social media. The Company today announced that it has launched local Facebook, Foursquare and Google Places pages for each of its Avis Car Rental, Budget Car Rental and Budget Truck Rental facilities in the United States and Canada.

New UK leadership for Avid Budget Group
Avis Budget Group has announced the appointment of Mark Servodidio as managing director for the UK. Servodidio will be responsible for driving further success across the UK business, overseeing revenue generation including the B2B, consumer and intermediary business, operations and fleet management with responsibility for more than 1,250 employees.
Avis adds payless car rental to exclusive relationship with AARP
Avis Budget Group, Inc today announced that it has expanded its exclusive, multi-year agreement with AARP to include Payless Car Rental, which will now be offered to AARP members in addition to Avis Car Rental, Budget Car Rental and Budget Truck Rental. In July, Avis Budget Group became the exclusive car rental provider for AARP, which has more than 37 million members.

Avis Budget Group profits dip in Q2 2013
Avis Budget Group today reported results for its second quarter ended June 30, 2013. For the quarter, the Company reported revenue of $2.0 billion, a 7% increase compared with the prior-year second quarter. Excluding certain items, Adjusted EBITDA declined 33% to $179 million.

Avis Budget Group EMEA marks 16 years of maintained CarbonNeutral® certification after releasing latest emissions figures from its CarbonNeutral® program. In 2013, the company will offset 12,661 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions (tCO2e), which is equal to its operational footprint for the year, bringing the total emissions offset since 1997 to 198,578 tCO2e.
