Burke steps up to lead Atlantis, Paradise Island
Paul Burke, currently chief operating officer at the resort, has been promoted to the role of president and managing director of Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in The Bahamas. He will assume his new position immediately. Burke, who has been with Atlantis since 2011, has made significant contributions to the operations and functions of the resort, with an emphasis on maintaining Atlantis’ high level of guest satisfaction.

Government-backed Dubai World has sold Atlantis, The Palm, to Investment Corp of Dubai as it seeks to raise capital to pay down debts following a restructuring in 2011. In a statement, Investment Corp of Dubai, which is also state owned, said the move would allow for the development of the property and Dubai as a world-class tourism destination.
