Door-to-door travel has long demanded integrating the air and ground travel worlds to provide a seamless booking experience. Booking a flight to London Heathrow and then adding a bus connection to Bath on the same screen was previously not possible - but Amadeus and content aggregator AccesRail have now made this a reality.

Ryanair has announced that its Business Plus fare is now available to travel agents on the Amadeus network, allowing even more business customers to travel on the lowest fares. Ryanair head of corporate, Tim Howe Schröder said: “More and more business travellers are choosing Ryanair as their preferred airline doing business trips and we are pleased to announce that our Business Plus product is now available to book through Amadeus.

Amadeus has launched Amadeus Airline Cloud Availability, which aims to support airlines in coping with steadily rising search and shopping requests. Amadeus Airline Cloud Availability was piloted by Lufthansa earlier this year using the Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. It enables instances of airline data and revenue management logic to be deployed remotely in the cloud, which can then serve local demand around the world.

Growing market share drives profit increases at Amadeus
Amadeus IT Holding has reported adjusted profit excluding acquisition costs increased 9.6 per cent to €612 million in the nine months to September 30th. This was driven by an increase in revenue of 14.7 per cent, to €2,965 million, and EBITDA excluding acquisition costs growth of 10.6 per cent, to €1,150 million.
