Finnair celebrates a century of take-offs
Finnair is celebrating a century of flight this week, having operated its first-ever service from Helsinki to Tallinn, Estonia on March 20th 1924.
The Norwegian Group had 1.5 million passengers in February
In February, Norwegian had 1,281,212 passengers, while Widerøe had 257,826 passengers, totalling 1,539,038 passengers for the group. Norwegian increased its load factor to 86 percent in February, up 2 percentage points compared to the same period last year and close to the highest ever load factor Norwegian has recorded for the month of February.

Jet2.com has been recognised for its punctuality performance by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), after operating 77 percent of its flights on time between October and December 2023 which makes it the best of the UK’s major airlines.

Air Samarkand Announces Launch of Scheduled Flights and Appointment of New CEO
Air Samarkand is to commence its scheduled flight programme on Thursday, 21st March, operating on the Samarkand - Istanbul - Samarkand route with its Airbus A321neo aircraft. In the initial phase, return services will operate twice a week, departing on Mondays and Thursdays from Samarkand International Airport (SKD) to Istanbul International Airport (IST), with a scheduled flight time of about 5 hours.
Delta to resume Tel Aviv service from New York-JFK in June
Delta will resume daily nonstop service to Tel Aviv (TLV) from New York-JFK this summer, operating the route on an Airbus A330-900neo that will provide customers with nearly 2,000 weekly seats from New York to Israel.

China Airlines Expanding North American Network
Taiwan-based China Airlines has announced that it will begin offering non-stop flights to Seattle, the “Emerald City”, starting July 14, 2024. The Taipei-Seattle route will expand the carrier’s passenger services to northwestern USA by offering five weekly flights with the Airbus A350-900. In addition to providing travelers with even more options for travel between Taiwan and the Americas, China Airlines will leverage its extensive regional network to expand its share of the transfer market in Asia and boost business growth.
