Emirates boosts flight schedule ahead of Eid Al Fitr

Emirates is gearing up for a busy travel period for Eid Al Fitr by deploying an additional 17 flights to destinations in the Middle East/GCC from 26 March to 6 April. This year, over 371,000 customers are expected to fly with the airline during the Eid Al Fitr break from around the region, with additional flights planned for Jeddah, Kuwait, Dammam and Amman. The expanded flight schedule offers customers travelling home or interested in exploring new destinations more opportunities to reunite, celebrate with their family and loved ones, or enjoy leisure getaways.

Korean Air is enhancing its service offering by upgrading its airport lounges and introducing Premium Economy cabins, in line with its new corporate identity and the upcoming integration with Asiana Airlines. At Incheon International Airport Terminal 2, the airline will expand and renovate lounges by building new “Prestige Class Garden Lounges” in both the east and west wings and enlarging the existing Prestige Class and Miler Club Lounges, with phased openings starting in August 2025. Renovations in the west wing’s First Class and Prestige Class Lounges are expected to be completed by April 2026, resulting in six lounges with 2.5 times more space and doubled seating capacity.

TAP Air Portugal celebrated its 80th anniversary on Friday 14 March, with several initiatives to mark the festive date. The Portuguese national airline was founded on March 14, 1945, by Humberto Delgado. After several preparatory stages, the then called Transportes Aéreos Portugueses conducted its first regular commercial flight on September 19, 1946, between Lisbon and Madrid, in a DC-3 Dakota aircraft. The airline also celebrated dual wins at the 2024 World Travel Awards for World’s Leading Airline to Africa and World’s Leading Airline to South America.
