AerCap signs up for 50 A320neo aircraft at Farnborough
AerCap, the industry leading lessor headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, has firmed up an order for 50 additional A320neo Family aircraft at the Farnborough International Airshow 2014. The contract, AerCap’s first major aircraft order following the acquisition of ILFC earlier this year, was signed by Philip Scruggs, AerCap president and Fabrice Brégier, Airbus president.
Airbus launches A330-800neo and A330-900neo at Farnborough
Following a decision by the board of directors of the Group, Airbus has launched the A330-800neo and A330-900neo, two new members of its Widebody Family, which will incorporate latest generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, aerodynamic enhancements and new cabin features. Benefitting from the unbeatable economics, versatility and high reliability of the A330, the A330neo reduces fuel consumption by 14 per seat, making it the most cost efficient, medium range Widebody aircraft on the market.
IAG signs latest airbus deal at Farnborough Air Show
International Airlines Group has converted 20 A320neo options into a firm order for the world’s most popular single aisle aircraft family at the Farnborough air show. These aircraft are currently intended to replace 21 short-haul British Airways’ aircraft. British Airways already operates 120 Airbus single aisle aircraft covering the full Family range from the smallest A318 to the largest A321.
Emirates brings A380 to Vienna for first time
Emirates operated a one-off A380 service last night to mark its ten-year anniversary and continued commitment to Austria. This important milestone signals the first ever commercially scheduled A380 service to Vienna International Airport. Emirates has been flying to Austria since May 2004.

Japan Airlines signs first ever order with Airbus
Japan Airlines has signed a purchase agreement for 31 A350 XWB aircraft from European manufacturer Airbus in a deal worth approximately $9 billion. The deal is the first between the Asian carrier and the plane maker, and also contains options for a further 25 aircraft.
Finnair boosts green credentials with A321 Sharklets
Finnair has become the first airline in the world to operate Airbus A321 aircraft equipped with new, fuel-saving Sharklet wing tip devices. The extended-range, single-aisle aircraft, which has the lowest fuel burn, emissions and noise footprint in its class, will be quieter and more comfortable for passengers than the older planes it replaces, as well as about seven per cent more fuel efficient per seat.

Airbus has confirmed that it will be exhibiting at Aircraft Interiors Expo Americas from October 1-3 2013 in Seattle, the largest dedicated aircraft interiors event in the Americas region, organised by Reed Exhibitions.
Airbus delivers 8,000th aircraft
Airbus has delivered its 8,000th aircraft, an A320 for the Indonesian wing of AirAsia. The aircraft took off from Toulouse, France and arrived earlier today at its new base in Jakarta.
EADS to rename itself Airbus Group
European aviation giant EADS has said it will rename itself Airbus Group in order to “enhance integration and cohesion” at the company. The newly reorganised group will be composed of three divisions: Airbus, responsible for all commercial aircraft activities; Airbus Defence & Space, home to the group’s defence and space activities including military transport aircraft; and Airbus Helicopters, comprising all commercial and military helicopter activities.
Syphax Airlines places Airbus order
Syphax Airlines, a new Tunisian-based airline, has confirmed its order to buy three A320neo. The order is the first time an African based carrier has ordered the NEO and marks a significant breakthrough for Airbus in one of the world’s fastest developing markets.
