Tignes Opens for a New Ski Season on 22 November 2025
Tignes is among the first to launch the new ski season on Saturday 22 November and over the following 163 consecutive days skiers can enjoy 300 km of slopes in one of the highest resorts in the French Alps and home to the Grande Motte glacier at 3,656 metres First Runs of the Season Snow is expected this coming week promising good conditions for the first turns of the season. The lifts open at 9am at the Perce-Neige funicular in Val Claret, giving skiers and boarders their first chance to carve fresh tracks on the glacier. After the initial warm up and finding the winter ski legs, it's worth being among the first to catch the Aiguille Percée six-seater lift which completes the upgrade of the ski lift network in the Tignes le Lac and Tignes les Brévières sectors.
