W Hotels Worldwide has unveiled W Retreat & Spa Bali - Seminyak, its third Retreat to open within the past 12 months.

The newest W Retreat, W Bali is located in the trendy enclave of Seminyak and reinvents the exuberance of its locale, where designer boutiques, diverse galleries, lively restaurants, and modern cocktail bars and clubs hold court. The first W Hotel in Indonesia, W Bali brings a ‘new scene unseen’ to the Island through its modern design and signature bars and restaurants that allow guests and locals alike to mix and mingle or disappear into their private escape.

Showcasing distinctive architecture by SCDA Architects and interior design by AB Concept and Poole Associates Private Limited, W Retreat & Spa Bali - Seminyak reflects the rich natural beauty and cultural heritage of the destination, with a playful twist of bold designs and textures, inspired by the “conceal and reveal” mysticism of Bali. With a contemporary take on traditional Balinese design, each space allows guests to mix and mingle and be a part of the scene or remain unseen as they escape into their own retreats.

Guests arriving at W Bali are welcomed in the signature W Lounge (W’s take on the traditional hotel lobby), captured by vibrant tropical pinks and purples, oversized day beds facing the coastal breeze, and sturdy synthetic rattan that further blurs the line between inside and out. At Welcome, the sea breeze whips past monsoon screens and whistles through a wall of hand-blown glass jars, each holding a piece of capiz shell that allows the wall to “sing.” The sleek resin contours of the W Lounge with its eye-catching, back-lit bar glowing in electric LED hues, meld with lampshades woven from synthetic rattan resemble pagoda roofs in Bali.

W Bali’s Signature Bars & Restaurants

Designed to become Bali’s newest scene, W Bali features an eclectic assortment of signature restaurants and lounges. Guests can sip cocktails or relax over afternoon tea at W Lounge or eat, drink and play in WooBar, a three-story bar on the beach. Guests can also enjoy unforgettable dining experiences at W Bali’s distinct concept restaurants, including Fire, an urban, casual grill restaurant featuring a dramatic open kitchen, or W’s seaside beach club, Starfish Bloo, headed by Chef de Cuisine Jack Yoss who presents his interpretation of Pan Asian cuisine through Western techniques.
