Minister of Tourism, the Honourable Josephine Connolly expressed optimism with the growth in air arrivals and cruise visitors as the destination looks ahead to the new year.
“The Turks and Caicos Islands continue to appeal to visitors. Our multigenerational visitors are drawn to our beautiful white sand beaches, sparkling turquoise waters and barefoot luxury.  As a multi-island destination, we have so much history, culture and natural wonders beyond Providenciales. We look forward to welcoming our visitors in 2024 to experience the intrigue and beauty of the Turks and Caicos Islands,” she said.
In the first quarter of 2024, there will be increased marketing in our key source markets and feeder markets to attract more affluent, multi-generational travelers to our luxury multi-island destination.  There is also investment in our tourism products in our sister islands in historical and natural attractions to encourage visitors to expand their experiences beyond Providenciales.
As we prepare to welcome more visitors to our shores, new properties will be coming onstream such as the Andaz Turks and Caicos Residences, a Hyatt-owned brand comprising 59 hotel rooms and 74 residences on the Grace Bay Beach oceanfront.
On Monday, December 18th, 2023 at 2 pm we welcomed new airlift via Silver Airways twice-weekly non-stop from Fort Lauderdale, providing additional seats from the United States, our leading source market.
NB: *Please note that the air and cruise figures from July to November, 2023 are provisional.
