Travelport, the business services provider to the global travel industry, has been appointed as the preferred GDS partner for travel agency consortium TTA Worldchoice.  Building on a nine year relationship with the consortium, Travelport and Worldchoice’s new agreement incorporates travel agency members of the Travel Trust Association (TTA).

Travelport will now provide TTA Worldchoice’s combined membership of nearly 800 businesses, with the technology and support of both Worldspan and Galileo platforms.

Travelport general manager for the UK and Ireland, Jérôme Moisan, commented: “The extension of our existing agreement to include TTA members will open up doors for us and in turn we will offer access to rich content, intuitive tools and a high level of support that can improve agent’s workflow processes and add value to their customers.”

TTA Worldchoice group commercial director, Steve Clark said “Travelport’s leading technology and their commitment to helping agents succeed establishes the company as a great partner to work with.  This coupled with the positive feedback we have received from our agents influenced our decision to renew and expand our existing agreement with Travelport.”

The Worldchoice travel consortium was established in 1976 and merged with the Travel Trust Association in 2008.
