Travel Indochina to sell through trade

Travel Indochina to sell through trade

In recognition of the ever-increasing potential of travel agents to contribute to its business, Travel Indochina has announced plans to sell through the travel trade.

With immediate effect, the specialist tour operator will work with travel agents in the UK to assist with sales for its Small Group Journeys, luxury river cruises and tailor-made holidays to the ‘real’ Asia.

Since its inception in 1993, Travel Indochina has earned itself an outstanding reputation as a world leader in operating genuinely small group escorted tours and bespoke itineraries to Indochina and further afield.

Today, the company features the biggest range of itineraries and guaranteed departures to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos than any other UK tour operator, as well as a large variety of journeys to Thailand, China and Tibet, India, Japan and Burma.

At the heart of the company’s brand is the desire to ‘Share the Experience’ using its expert local knowledge and seven offices throughout Asia.

Unlike many other travel companies, Travel Indochina believes that small group sizes are the best way to travel.

The company’s Small Group Journeys run with a maximum size of 16 like-minded travellers and operate under the expert guidance of a Western tour leader and English-speaking local guides.

This complementary combination allows space for independent exploration and a great opportunity for the tour leaders to share their specialised knowledge on their respective destinations with every customer.

In addition, Travel Indochina’s UK-based Asia specialists can tailor-make holidays to suit all customer requirements, from city stay packages to indulgent beach breaks staying at quality three to five-star resorts.

An enticing range of cruise options are also available on the Mekong River with opportunities to sail between Cambodia and Vietnam onboard the River’s most exclusive vessel, The Jahan, or its luxury sister ship, The Jayavarman.

Passengers can also choose from a range of upmarket river cruises on the Yangtze River in China.

Travel agents can order Travel Indochina’s brand new Small Group Journeys brochure for 2013/2014 via Trade-Gate.co.uk, following its official launch on November 5th 2012.

“We are very excited to be dealing directly with travel agents in the UK market, having increasingly seen the potential that travel agents can bring in communicating our product offering to both new and existing customers.

“We are already working with Advantage Travel Centres, The Travel Network Group, Barrhead Travel and Midcounties Co-operative Travel and are members of TIPTO and ACE to further support our trade activity plans,” commented Manda Churchill, general manager of Travel Indochina.

“Travel agents can contact our UK specialist team directly for our renowned on-the-ground knowledge.

“Our Business Development Managers will be on the road carrying out a number of trade activities in the UK, including trainings, meetings, consumer events, trade shows and familiarisation trips to help boost sales to this truly wonderful part of the world.”
