Thomson finally given all clear for Dreamliner takeoff

Thomson finally given all clear for Dreamliner takeoff

The first long haul flight of the Thomson 787 Dreamliner has been given the green light for the second week of July.

Passengers heading to Cancun and Florida from July 8th will be the first to fly long haul on the state-of-the-art jet.

This, however, mean customers flying to these destinations between July 1st-7th will be on a different plane for the flight out.

They will be on a Dreamliner on their return journey.

“We’re busy getting in touch with those affected to let them know they’ll be boarding the Thomson Airways 767 on their way to their holiday instead,” Thomson said in a statement.

The TUI-owned airline, which is due to receive eight Dreamliners, is the UK launch customer for the plane and had been heavily promoting trips on the 787.
