The Queen’s birthday celebrations get underway in London
Crowds are gathering in London today to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday, the final day of a three day celebration which looked at her life and dedication to the commonwealth.
The Mall outside Buckingham Palace has been transformed into a huge street party with a picnic and street performances for 10,000 guests.
The Queen will join 10,000 people for the Patron’s Lunch - recognising her patronage of more than 600 organisations in the UK and around the Commonwealth.
Large screens in St James’ Park and Green Park will also project the celebrations.
The festivities will also include a carnival parade and Royalists around the country are holding their own street parties to celebrate the Queen’s birthday.
