Park Hyatt hotel opens in Siem Reap

The Park Hyatt Siem Reap has opened its doors, marking the fourteenth Hyatt property in the Southeast Asia region and the first Hyatt hotel in Cambodia.

Formerly known as Hotel De La Paix, one of Cambodia’s top-rated hotels, the property is reopening under the Park Hyatt brand following a 14-month top-to-bottom renovation by award-winning interior designer Bill Bensley.

The 108-room property includes 13 suites, four of which showcase private plunge pools.  Khmer-inspired contemporary art, wood floors and Italian marble have been used for the interiors to offer a sophisticated, residential feel, a signature concept for the Park Hyatt aesthetic.

Park Hyatt Siem Reap offers a restaurant, lounge and patisserie. The Dining Room features a fresh mix of traditional Khmer and French provincial cuisine, including traditional Cambodian dishes.  Meanwhile the Glasshouse Deli Patisserie offers pizzas, freshly baked pastries, homemade ice cream and other comfort foods.

The Spa at Park Hyatt Siem Reap covers 242 square-meters (2,615 square feet) and features a 24-hour fitness center, two swimming pools, and a multi-level treatment facility. The spa has six treatment rooms, a steam room and a rooftop relaxation space for yoga or foot massages. The Spa is a zen-inspired retreat with the highest-quality service and holistic spa treatments using exclusive aromatherapy products.

“We believe that Park Hyatt Siem Reap will pave the way for a new standard of luxury and brand loyalty in Southeast Asia, and we are excited to offer both leisure and business travelers rare and unique experiences during their stay with us.”

The Park Hyatt Siem Reap also provides a spacious gallery for various events, such as corporate meetings, conferences and seminars, as well as weddings and social events.

The gallery, with access to a full open kitchen and separate boardroom, are both equipped with state-of-the-art systems and technology, as well as a professional team of experts on hand to provide a tailored service for each event, from the planning stage through to its completion.

Located in the heart of downtown Siem Reap, guests will find easy access to the town’s largest old market, several night markets, and the bustling and eclectic restaurant and shopping district.
