TAIBA appoints Tareq Derbas as vice president of hospitality operations
Tareq Derbas , Vice President of hospitality operations, TAIBA TAIBA, a leading Saudi hospitality company, has appointed Tareq Derbas as vice president of hospitality operations as part of its strategy to strengthen leadership and support long-term growth in line with the rapidly evolving tourism sector in the Kingdom.
Derbas brings more than 30 years of experience in luxury hospitality across the Middle East, having worked in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan and Oman. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership roles with internationally recognised brands including The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis and Four Seasons, where he oversaw flagship properties and major hotel portfolios.
Prior to joining TAIBA, Derbas served as area general manager at FAENA Hotels in Saudi Arabia and was also a board member of the Jordan Tourism Board. His career also includes leadership positions at several landmark properties in the region, including the Burj Al Arab, where he gained extensive operational experience within the luxury hospitality sector.
In his new role, Derbas will oversee hospitality operations across TAIBA’s portfolio, focusing on enhancing operational performance, supporting the company’s expansion strategy and ensuring consistent delivery of world-class service standards. He will also play a key role in strengthening TAIBA’s position as a leading hospitality platform within Saudi Arabia.
