Silversea unveils even more reasons to try a cruise in 2012/13

Renowned for itineraries of exotic destinations, Silversea unveils an extensive line-up of worldwide voyages for 2013, which will see the company’s six elite ships visit over 450 destinations across the seven continents. A 115-day World Cruise on Silver Whisper, inaugural calls in Hawaii for Silver Spirit and new expedition cruises to Canada’s beautiful Hudson Bay on Silver Explorer are highlights of the 2013 schedule along with 32 new ports of call.

Silversea’s independent traveller fares are amongst the most generous at sea: Exclusive Silversea single supplements are priced from just 5% above the double occupancy fares on selected 2012 voyages, allowing solo travellers the freedom to travel independently without having to find a travel companion to keep costs down. Caribbean, Far Eastern and Mediterranean departures all feature the single supplements, many of which also benefit from the complimentary or promotional flights being offered with selected fares throughout 2012. New fares and complimentary Business Class flights offer on selected 2012 voyages: New fares have been announced on select Silversea voyages sailing from March to November 2012. Starting from £1,999, the new fares will be available on voyages spanning the globe from Africa, Alaska and the Americas to the Mediterranean and Northern Europe and include a selection of expedition voyages onboard Silver Explorer. Also available on selected Mediterranean and Northern European voyages are complimentary Business Class return flights, an offer that will ensure guests feel rested relaxed and completely pampered before even boarding their Silversea ship.

Wine experts to host Silversea’s ‘Wine Series’ Enrichment programme: Discerning travellers with a passion for fine wines will be able to step aboard exclusive wine-themed cruises as part of a Silversea Wine Series running throughout 2012. Hosted by renowned wine experts, Lyn Farmer (senior editor of The Wine News) and Richard Nurick (distinguished wine judge and lecturer) guests will discover the tradition and art of winemaking while sampling some great vintages along the way. Selected itineraries will allow for the chance to explore some of the world’s most celebrated wine regions on optional guided shore excursions.

Silversea introduces new London based reservations team: A dedicated, multi-lingual team of reservation consultants has been brought into Silversea’s new London office to respond to the increasing level of reservation calls for the U.K, Europe and the Middle East markets. Working closely alongside the sales, marketing and administrative teams the experienced team will ensure that Silversea offers a superior level of service for this growing region.
