Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort Officially Debuts, Marking a New Era for South Florida

The Diplomat Beach Resort opens as Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort, ushering in a bold new chapter for the coastal beacon. The transition marks the property’s evolution into Signia by Hilton’s growing portfolio of approachable luxury hotels worldwide, as the legendary Hollywood Beach address introduces the brand’s vibrant atmosphere, experience‑led dining, refined wellness offerings, and premier meetings and events to South Florida.

Originally opened in 1958, the 1,000-room resort now offers a renewed vision for today’s traveler. Following Trinity Investments’ 2023 acquisition, an $80 million transformation of public spaces and dining venues strengthens its role as a central gathering place for grand-scale events while aligning with Signia by Hilton’s sophisticated approach to hospitality.

“The Diplomat has long been one of South Florida’s most iconic properties, and this transformation marks an important next chapter – not just for the hotel, but for Hilton’s continued growth in the region,” said Chris Nassetta, president and CEO, Hilton. “As we expand Signia by Hilton in key gateway and resort destinations, this property is a great example of how we’re building on strong foundations to meet what today’s travelers are looking for – thoughtful design, standout dining, and unforgettable experiences.”

“Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort represents a defining moment for the Signia by Hilton brand as we continue our pivotal phase of growth with openings and signings around the globe,” said Meghan Fitzgerald, global brand leader, Signia by Hilton. “This opening introduces a new kind of luxury stay—combining sophisticated design, exceptional service and world-class experiences that bring guests together in meaningful ways, from large-scale events to everyday moments, in one of the country’s most dynamic markets.”

“The debut of Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort marks a significant milestone in realizing our long-term vision for the property,” said Sean Hehir, managing partner, president and CEO, Trinity Investments. “Working alongside Hilton, we’ve focused on making thoughtful, strategic investments across the resort – proudly bringing together a world-class brand platform with our hands-on approach to enhance the property’s positioning, build on its enduring legacy, and strengthen its standing as one of South Florida’s leading beachfront destinations.”

A New Arrival and Elevated Design
The resort’s redesigned lobby is a vibrant social hub, infused with lush foliage and bathed in natural light. This tropical retreat was thoughtfully designed for how guests connect today, layering lounge seating, communal tables and intimate nooks, creating an effortless flow from working and dining to networking and creative moments. It’s where resort energy meets the art of gathering, an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and inspired.

Just beyond the lobby, guests arrive at The Verandah, the resort’s newly reimagined oceanfront outdoor destination designed to embrace South Florida’s open-air lifestyle. The expansive deck now features a collection of distinct experiences, from the Solara Infinity Pool and refreshed Grand Lagoon Pool to the adults-only Verandah Social Club, alongside elevated cabanas and daybeds, a new oceanfront jacuzzi and attentive service throughout. Nearby, Horizon Lawn, a brand-new outdoor event space, offers a scenic setting for refined meetings and events, family activities and live entertainment. Together with 1,000 linear feet of semi-private beach, The Verandah reinforces the resort’s identity as a modern coastal escape.

Destination Dining as a Defining Pillar
Culinary has emerged as a cornerstone of the property’s repositioning. Introduced earlier this year, the six updated dining venues now deliver a connected, day-to-night experience that extends far beyond traditional hotel fare. At the heart of the food and beverage program is director of culinary, Miguel Santiago, whose influence can be felt across concepts.

Palmea Kitchen sets the tone each morning with Mediterranean-influenced breakfast classics in a breezy, greenery-filled setting where guests can start the day with dishes like shakshuka and orange blossom French toast. For quick but equally as thoughtful offerings, The Press is a vibrant café within the resort offering fresh juices, specialty coffee and handcrafted pastries.
Solara reshapes the lobby into a sophisticated all-day lounge defined by tropical modernism and globally inspired plates, offering a seamless transition from daytime activities to evening cocktails.  Nights culminate at Diplomat Prime, the resort’s signature steakhouse, where precision, craftsmanship and design-forward interiors reflect a renewed commitment to culinary excellence.

Together, the concepts reflect Signia’s emphasis on chef-driven bars and restaurants that invite both guests and locals into spaces for gathering and connecting.

Introducing Club Signia
A defining addition is Club Signia, an exclusive experience located on the 33rd floor. Spanning 6,660 square feet of indoor and terrace space with both sweeping Atlantic and intracoastal views, the Club itself is a refined, quiet retreat, featuring a highly personalized, service-driven experience available to guests reserving premium room categories on floors 32 to 36 and Hilton Honors Diamond Reserve members.
Inspired by private membership clubs, Club Signia provides personalized pre-arrival outreach from a dedicated ambassador, priority access to hotel amenities and an intimate lounge environment that transitions throughout the day. Guests enjoy curated breakfast, midday meal presentations, evening cocktails and sweets, wellness-focused bites and upgraded in-room amenities, creating a seamless, high-touch experience from morning to night.

Another standout addition is The Verandah Social Club, an adults-only outdoor pool and cabana space available for reservation via ResortPass to both hotel guests and South Florida visitors or locals alike. Drawing from international beach clubs in both design and experience, the newly built pool deck transforms the resort’s backyard with an air of sophistication. Secluding itself away from the Solara pool and lagoon pool while maintaining ocean views and direct beach access, the open-air social club introduces a fresh way to experience the property’s iconic shoreline, blending poolside luxury, culinary-driven moments and wellness-forward offerings in a refined, high-style setting. Visitors can soak up the sun while enjoying perks like private locker rooms, beach seating, caviar service and in-cabana spa treatments. Reservations also include an exclusive discount on same-day reservations at the hotel’s Kids Club Day Camp and discounted parking, making it a compelling “daycation” experience for locals.

A Legacy Renewed
From entertainment icons to presidential addresses and global conventions, The Diplomat has long served as a backdrop for defining moments in American culture. Beloved by well-traveled leisure and business guests for almost 70 years, the hotel has distinguished itself as one of the country’s premier meetings and events venues, with more than 200,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, a 50,000-square-foot Great Hall, four ballrooms and 39 breakout rooms designed to host gatherings of every scale.

This is complemented by its top-rated wellness sanctuary, The Diplomat Spa + Wellness, and a robust lineup of amenities like complimentary water sports, bicycles and beach fitness classes, daily activities, recreation and live entertainment.

Located between Miami and Fort Lauderdale with convenient access to two international airports, The Diplomat continues to capture the cosmopolitan energy of South Florida while offering an elevated escape rooted in sophistication, intention and place.

Guests can currently enjoy the brand’s signature experience at Signia by Hilton Atlanta Georgia World Congress Center, Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa, Signia by Hilton San Jose, and Signia by Hilton Amman. Looking ahead, Signia by Hilton will expand to Tainan, Taiwan; Jaipur, India; Cairo, Egypt; Savannah, Ga.; Indianapolis, Ind. and more.
